Request for “Proposal” (Application) for:BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & PROPOSAL COORDINATOR1. Project SummaryThe Business Development & Proposal Coordinator manages the full proposal lifecycle — from opportunity identification through to final submission and post-award tracking. The role also supports business development initiatives including marketing, social media management, event coordination, and client engagement. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager.2. Scope of WorkThe selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Proposal Preparation·       Prepare proposals ranging from one-page fee letters to 50-page formal RFP responses.·       Identify relevant opportunities through various procurement platforms (MERX, APC, BCBid, SaskTenders, Ariba, etc.).·       Prepare workflow assessments for review by the RFP team.·       Lead weekly RFP meetings to discuss pursuits and coordinate responses.·       Manage proposal timelines, compile content, and ensure compliant and timely submission.·       Track submissions, monitor awards, and maintain records of outcomes.·       Maintain organized proposal archives and templates. Business Development·       Research and prepare award submissions.·       Assist in planning internal and external events and philanthropic initiatives.·       Research and complete funding or grant applications.·       Support alignment of business development efforts with firm strategy.·       Manage client lists and records.·       Coordinate marketing initiatives such as mailouts, campaigns, and client appreciation gifts. Social Media and Web Management·       Develop and manage content for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).·       Create and execute social and web marketing campaigns.·       Maintain a digital content calendar and develop engagement strategies.·       Update website content (project pages, staff bios, imagery, job postings).·       Monitor analytics and SEO performance.3. Candidate QualificationsProposals should clearly demonstrate the candidate’s ability to:·       Write persuasively and communicate complex information clearly.·       Manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.·       Apply design and layout skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent).·       Coordinate efficiently with internal teams.·       Approach business development with creativity, consistency, and strategy. Required Qualifications·       1–3 years’ experience in proposal writing, marketing, or business development.·       Post-secondary education in copywriting, marketing, communications, or a related field.·       Familiarity with procurement platforms (MERX, Ariba, BCBid, etc.).·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint.·       Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (asset).·       Working knowledge of Squarespace or WordPress.·       Strong understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies.4.
