KBC has a strong South African footprint and is rapidly growing globally.Role DescriptionThe Business Development Representative will form part of KBC’s Africa & International Business Development team, supporting the Business Development Executive in driving growth across multiple markets. The purpose of this role is to generate sustainable business opportunities, establish and grow relationships with clients and partners, and expand KBC’s footprint by positioning our full suite of offerings.This role requires a commercially focused individual who is able to build trust with clients, navigate complex African market environments, and contribute to the achievement of KBC’s regional growth strategy.Reporting LinesReporting to: Business Development Executive- Africa & International Works closely with: CEO and HSE Lead to align sales with delivery capacity and gather client feedback.Direct reports: none Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales ExecutionIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across targeted African and international markets.Manage the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, engagement, proposal development, negotiations, and closure.Deliver on agreed sales targets and contribute to the Africa & International P&L objectives.Client Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships within the mining, construction, logistics, and related industries.Strengthen long-term partnerships by ensuring consistent client engagement and delivery follow-through.Represent KBC at external engagements, including site visits, conferences, and industry forums.Market & Strategic DevelopmentProvide accurate market intelligence, competitor analysis, and client feedback to support KBC’s strategic positioning.Support the establishment of in-country partnerships and joint ventures where required.Collaborate with local sales representatives and partner organizations to ensure alignment of strategy and delivery.Internal Coordination & SupportEnsure accurate reporting and forecasting into the Business Development Executive – Africa & International.Support the preparation of commercial proposals, bids, and client presentations.Work closely with operational teams (Risk, Compliance, Learning, Contractor Management) to ensure feasibility and alignment of solutions.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Safety Management, or related field (preferred).Equivalent experience in a relevant field may be considered.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or key account management.Proven track record of closing high-value contracts and achieving growth targets.Experience operating within African or international markets, ideally in mining, industrial services, or HSE sectors.Inherent job requirements:Willing to travel extensivelyValid driver’s license with own reliable vehicleValid Passport
