Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Specialist – Site Acquisition to lead and execute strategic initiatives for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new sites to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, market research abilities, and a deep understanding of zoning, permitting, and local real estate regulations.Key Responsibilities:Site Identification: Conduct market research to identify potential sites based on company expansion strategy, zoning regulations, demographic data, and logistical considerations.Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate site viability through cost-benefit analysis, environmental considerations, access, competition, and compliance with legal requirements.Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, government agencies, and local authorities to facilitate acquisition processes.Negotiation & Contracting: Lead negotiations with property owners and landlords to secure favorable terms for leases, purchases, or long-term site use agreements.Due Diligence: Manage the due diligence process including legal, environmental, and zoning reviews, surveys, and title checks.Internal Coordination: Collaborate with legal, engineering, finance, and operations teams to align site acquisition with project and company goals.Permitting & Approvals: Oversee permitting processes by working with local municipalities and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of site acquisition activities, status reports, and deal documentation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field.3+ years of experience in business development, real estate acquisition, or site development.Proven success in negotiating leases, land purchases, or site deals.Familiarity with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and travel as required.About Kawan Lama GroupEstablished in 1955, Kawan Lama Group is a multi-sector group of companies who are constantly innovating for improving the quality of lives.
