Business Finance Analyst

Job Title: Business Finance AnalystLocation: OnsiteWork Schedule: Night Shift (aligned with MST/EST time zones)Position Overview:We are seeking a Business Finance Analyst to join our growing finance and strategy team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and financial modeling skills, experience with budgeting and forecasting, and the ability to turn financial data into actionable business insights. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and executive leadership to support data-driven decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.Perform variance analysis on financial performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial data integrity.Business Analysis & Decision Support:Analyze business trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost drivers to identify improvement opportunities.Partner with operations and procurement teams to provide insights on cost management, pricing, and profitability.Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports to support strategic business decisions.Reporting & Data Management:Create dashboards and visual reports in tools such as Power BI or Excel for senior management.Consolidate data from multiple sources to deliver comprehensive business and financial reports.Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Process Improvement & Controls:Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend automation or optimization strategies.Support internal control initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.I'd appreciate it if you could assist in implementing financial systems, tools, and reporting enhancements.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.5 years plus of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or FP&A.Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros, etc.) and Power BI.Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL or Python (preferred).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Preferred Skills:Experience in an outsourcing or multinational environment.Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).Understanding of landed cost analysis, pricing models, and business profitability metrics.
