Vaughan is your place to grow.Position OverviewReporting to the Supervisor, Business Innovation and Improvement, the Business Innovation and Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting all current and future business solutions in the Financial Services department, working with technology staff and business users. The Business Innovation and Improvement Analyst will participate in the daily operation of business innovation and improvement providing guidance to staff on expanding the use of business solutions, recommending new solutions, and improving business processes in Financial Services.Qualifications and Experience• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science or suitable equivalent.• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in developing and implementing business transformation initiatives.• Advanced level knowledge of Business Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering using Lean and/or Six Sigma methods.• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel (Macros/VBA), MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio, PowerApps, Power Automate and other low-code tools.• Experience with business intelligence tools. Working knowledge of Qlik, Power BI, Python would be considered an asset.• Experience using Microsoft Productivity Suite products such as SharePoint to streamline processes.• Familiarity with customer journey mapping and service design principles.• Advanced level knowledge of SQL, database design and experience using database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server).• Understanding of data privacy and security standards.• Knowledge of various project management methodologies and frameworks.• Proven experience in requirements elicitation techniques, requirements analysis, and documentation.• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills supported by project management experience, team leadership, and facilitation capabilities.• Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in the City’s core competencies and relevant functional competencies.• Valid Class "G" Driver's License with access to a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business or the ability to travel safely and efficiently to as required by the business.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
