Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Developer to support one of our clients in enhancing their global Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. In this role, you will leverage the latest BI methodologies and technologies to deliver accurate, insightful, and visually engaging reports and dashboards.You will work extensively with Power BI to design, model, and build business reports based on data delivered through Hive tables and databases. Collaborating closely with BI Specialists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders, you will transform business requirements into reusable tabular data models and actionable insights that drive smarter, data-driven decisions.Your Main ResponsibilitiesYou will assist the BI Team Lead in supporting analytical projects to identify business opportunities and areas for improvement.You will work closely with business teams to understand reporting needs and align BI solutions with client goals.You will develop, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards using Power BI, ensuring flexibility, usability, and performance.You will design and model datasets for flexibility, reusability, and scalability in shared Power BI datasets.You will assist in creating and maintaining SQL stored procedures, views, and ad-hoc SQL reports, including direct queries via Hive and Databricks notebooks.You will develop and maintain data integration processes, procedures, and reporting frameworks.You will ensure timely and accurate analyses of business performance and maintain the credibility of BI deliverables.You will document technical solutions, contribute to knowledge sharing, and provide ongoing platform support.You will collaborate with IT, data, and operational teams to support the implementation and maintenance of BI solutions.You will follow established BI policies and procedures throughout the solution development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and implementation.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.Proven experience as a BI Analyst or Developer (minimum 5 years).Advanced proficiency in Power BI development, including data modeling and dashboard design.Strong SQL skills, with experience querying large datasets.Understanding of data warehousing, database management systems, and modern data lake or lakehouse architectures.Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and reusable tabular models.High attention to detail and accuracy when handling complex data.Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments.Experience using Databricks, Hive, and Azure-based reporting platforms.Familiarity with BI development lifecycle documentation and version control practices.Understanding of business operations in the travel or hospitality industry.
