With a close-knit team of around 50 professionals and a strong reputation for delivering high-touch financial services, they are now investing in their data capabilities to support smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.The OpportunityThis is a unique greenfield opportunity for a hands-on BI Developer to join a growing IT team and take full ownership of the firm’s Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing strategy. You’ll be the first dedicated BI hire, giving you the autonomy to shape the data landscape from the ground up.If you're passionate about data, thrive in a fast-paced financial environment, and want to make a tangible impact, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, and Azure Data ServicesBuild and manage a scalable data warehouse to support reporting and analyticsCollaborate with stakeholders across investment, operations, and compliance teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insightsDevelop ETL pipelines to integrate data from various internal and external sourcesEnsure data quality, integrity, and governance across all reporting layersProvide training and support to business users on BI tools and dashboardsAct as the subject matter expert for all things data and BI within the firmSkills & ExperienceProven experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer in a financial services or wealth management environmentStrong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and data visualization best practicesAdvanced SQL skills and experience with relational databasesHands-on experience with Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse)Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing conceptsAbility to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in financial data is a plusWhy Join?Be the architect of a brand-new BI function in a high-performing financial firmWork directly with senior leadership and influence data-driven strategyEnjoy a collaborative, agile environment with a strong culture of excellenceCompetitive compensation, performance bonuses, and long-term career growth“Big Boy rules” – Get the job done attitude
