OverviewAs the Business Manager for ANZ, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy that drives sustainable growth across the region. Reporting directly to the Country Manager ANZ, you will lead critical business functions including post-merger integration, process optimisation, commercial governance, legal and compliance oversight, business risk standardization, and support M&A activities aligned with the company’s growth agenda. In this highly strategic and hands-on leadership role, you will embed best-in-class commercial and integration practices while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, sustainability, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and continuous improvement across the organisation.Roles & Responsibilities:Commercial Strategy & Governance• Collaborate with the Country Manager ANZ to define and execute commercial strategies aligned with the business growth pipeline and operating model maturity goals.• Oversee P&L performance, ensuring financial targets, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency are achieved.• Identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships, expanding the customer base, and supporting the integration of acquired entities.• Establish robust governance frameworks to ensure transparency, compliance, and effective decision-making at every level.Post-Merger Integration (PMI) Leadership• Lead the end-to-end integration process across finance, operations, systems, technology, people and culture following acquisitions.• Develop structured integration plans, track milestones, and drive alignment across the business to ensure successful integration outcomes.• Chair integration steering committee meetings, ensuring cross-functional stakeholders remain aligned, informed, and accountable.M&A Support• Lead commercial due diligence for any merger and acquisitions, including financial modelling, risk assessments, and valuation analysis.• Support deal structuring, integration planning, and post-acquisition alignment across entities.IT, ERP & Operational Integration• Oversee IT, ERP, and digital systems integration across the ANZ business.• Partner with cross functional teams to ensure systems harmonisation, data integrity, process consistency, and end-user capability building.Risk & Compliance• Create and implement a strategic framework that delivers measurable cost savings while aligning with company’s principles.• Standardise business risk management frameworks, including audit controls that support compliance, operational transparency, and continuous improvement.Leadership, People & Culture• Build capability within the integration and commercial teams through coaching, mentoring, and standardisation of processes.• Collaborate with HR and people & culture teams to embed strong workplace culture, business frameworks, and engagement practices.• Lead with a positive attitude, fostering psychological safety, DEI values, and a proactive work environment.Branding, Communications & Customer Experience• Work closely with internal teams to align brand, customer experience, and communication strategy with integration milestones and business goals.First 12-Month Success Objectives• Establish a strategic framework that generates measurable cost savings aligned with company’s principles and sales target.• Deploy standardised business risk management frameworks across the organisation.• Successfully lead commercial due diligence and integration for at least one acquisition.• Ensuring business to be operating as usual post integration. Qualification & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.• PMI/PMP certification (would be an added advantage).• Minimum 9 years’ experience in post-merger integration, business transformation, project management, or commercial management.• Proven track record in leading cross-functional business or systems integration (finance, operations, IT/ERP).• Experience managing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation.• Strong knowledge of commercial contract governance and business risk management.• Experience in M&A due diligence, deal structuring, and integration.• Background in engineering services, industrial or manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous.Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies:• People leadership: Ability to manage, motivate, and influence diverse teams across levels and cultures.• Proactive & enthusiastic: Self-starter who anticipates challenges, takes initiative, and drives continuous improvement.• Exceptional communication: Able to influence senior leaders, simplify complexities, and support frontline teams.• Stakeholder management: Skilled in navigating complex stakeholder environments with confidence and diplomacy.• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability: Balances big-picture vision with operational detail.• Strong organisational skills:Excellent planning, prioritisation, and project governance capabilities.• Adaptable & flexible: Thrives in young, dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environments.• Willingness to travel within ANZ as required for business purposes.
