As we expand our strategic presence globally, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated operations professional to anchor our growth and manage our growing team in Asia.The Role: Operations & Expansion SpecialistBased in Asia, the Business Operations Specialist will be the cornerstone of our regional operations, driving the establishment and management of our local team and working closely with our leadership in North America. This is a critical hybrid role that balances operational excellence, team leadership, and strategic market establishment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will own the administrative, operational, and team management functions for our Asian footprint, including:1. Operational & Strategic GrowthExpansion Strategy: Support the development and execution of strategies to grow our IT consulting and staffing services across key Asian markets.Local Compliance: Ensure all regional business practices, contracts, and operations comply with local regulations and requirements.Infrastructure: Oversee the establishment of necessary local infrastructure and vendor relationships to support the team.2. Team Management & HRRecruitment: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for new consultants and operational staff within the region.Team Oversight: Manage, support, and onboard the Asian team, ensuring high morale, productivity, and adherence to company policies.Reporting: Act as the primary liaison, providing regular operational updates and reporting key metrics to the onshore leadership team.3. Collaboration & Communication (Critical Time Zone Overlap)Maintain a mandatory, minimal work schedule overlap with our Canadian head office (EST). This requires working and being available to the onshore team between 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST daily.Required QualificationsProven experience (3+ years) in business operations, administration, or office management, preferably within the IT services, staffing, or consulting industries.Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex administrative processes independently.Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential, with strong communication skills to interact effectively across global teams.Demonstrated ability to work non-traditional hours to align with the required EST overlap.Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)Previous experience in Business Development or Sales for professional services, ideally within the Asian market, to identify and explore new client opportunities.Experience in Project Management or managing delivery timelines for technical teams.Familiarity with local HR practices, employment law, or experience applying for government grants/subsidies in the local Asian jurisdiction.
