Lead a small team supporting city centre businesses through the delivery of Te Awa Kairangi | RiverLink and Infrastructure Acceleration Fund projectsChampion business needs and perspectives across Council activities and policiesLead the relationship with the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce, WellingtonNZ and other key partners on economic developmentAbout The RoleAs our Business Partnership Lead, you’ll play a key role in providing a business perspective across Council activities and policies. You will do so by maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, business groups and other stakeholders in the economic development arena. Leading a small collaborative team, you’ll help ensure the disruption from our major infrastructure projects is sensitive to business realities and is proactively communicated. In this role, you will:Lead the team’s work on business disruption which includes a Business Disruption Group and various forums and channels.Lead the Business Advisory Group to ensure the economic opportunities associated with infrastructure investment are maximised.Lead the delivery of our Business Engagement Plan.Champion local procurement.Collaborate to raise awareness of Lower Hutt as an attractive place to live, invest, and do business.About YouYou’re a relationship-focused leader who thrives on collaboration and building trust.
