About the roleThe Business Solutions Lead acts as the strategic bridge between the firm’s business functions and its change and technology delivery teams. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working, translating business needs into implementable solutions that enhance efficiency, collaboration and client service.The postholder will lead a small team or community of Business Analysts and work closely with project managers, sponsors and end users to ensure that solutions are practical, value-driven and adopted effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution DesignEngage with business leaders to understand strategic priorities, operational pain points and opportunities for improvementTranslate business needs into clear, outcome-based requirements and define solution options (process, digital or behavioural)Partner with Technology, Finance and Operations to assess solution feasibility, costs and benefitsEnsure all proposed solutions align to firmwide strategic objectives, policies and governance frameworksDrive end-to-end traceability between business requirements, solution design, delivery and benefits realisationDelivery LeadershipLead business design activity across the project lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and embeddingSupport prioritisation of initiatives through structured business cases and value assessmentsReview agreed solutions, ensuring consistency and alignment with technology and business processesWork with project managers to ensure that change impacts are understood, documented and mitigatedContribute to post-implementation reviews and lessons learned to strengthen future delivery Stakeholder Engagement & Change EnablementBuild trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across legal practice groups and business servicesFacilitate workshops, process mapping and ideation sessions to co-create practical and scalable solutionsEnsure strong user engagement and communication throughout the solution lifecycleChampion adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working through structured change management and training activitiesTeam Leadership & Capability BuildingLead, coach and mentor Business Analysts and Change Specialists within the transformation communityPromote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and collaborationDevelop and maintain business process documentation, templates and standards for consistent deliveryRequirementsSignificant experience in business analysis, process improvement or solution design in a professional services environmentProven ability to translate business strategy into practical, deliverable change initiativesStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levelsExcellent understanding of business process improvement, requirements management and change adoptionFamiliarity with project management and governance disciplinesCurious, analytical and commercially mindedCollaborative and relationship-driven, with strong facilitation skillsPragmatic problem solver with an eye for simplification and user experienceComfortable operating in an evolving, complex environment with competing prioritiesPassionate about delivering solutions that create measurable business value and lasting changeIf you are interested in this position, you can send your CV via e-mail, as well, at: ioana.andrei@cms-cmno.com
