There’s space for you to tell us what you need within our application form.Our BenefitsAbout The RoleThis is a key administrative role within the business support team, supporting the effective provision of the pest control service across the council, while also having the potential to support other teams in the regulatory services team.Key Responsibilities: Provide professional day-to-day administrative support to the animal welfare and pest control team. Act as the first point of contact for pest control team-related queries (phone, email, post). Handle and process bookings and payments. Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and external agencies. Maintain data quality, meet audit standards, and ensure compliance with GDPR. Track activity, issue communications, and escalate complaints when necessary. Support fair and consistent service delivery aligned with Council policies.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Business Support as a Business Support Officer. In this role, you’ll be primarily working with our animal welfare and pest control services and will have the opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of databases and software.About The Team You’ll Be Working InAn opportunity now exists in the Business Support Team for an experienced and motivated Officer to become part of the team and develop and assist us in driving the work in the Borough forward.The London Borough of Hounslow is committed to making a positive difference for our residents by ensuring that the quality services delivered to a high standard. The role will require the applicant to carry out various administrative processes to ensure the smooth running of office systems for the animal welfare and pest control.Ensure enquiries from internal and external customers: by telephone, letter and email in a way that positively promotes the council and its services. Suggest improvements to develop administrative processes and systems, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.Ideally candidates will have some experience/knowledge of using Civica APP (Flare), the use of database systems, experience of processing application forms. Good time management is essential and experience of answering phones, scanning/emailing post and able to use Microsoft office programmes and manage and maintain records, keeping them up to date.Successful candidates will play an important role in helping to shape the continued development and delivery of the London Borough of animal welfare and pest control teams and the wider regulatory service. The post-holder will also play an important role in helping to improve overall standards of compliance.About YouIf the points below resonate with you, we’d love you to put in an application: A ‘people person’ with the ability to communicate key messages effectively.
