Business System Analyst

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business System Analyst who will lead the planning, analysis, documentation, and communication of detailed requirements within a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, deep system understanding, and the ability to work independently while building strong relationships across teams.Responsibilities:Lead the development of detailed functional and technical specifications aligned with organizational standards and frameworks.Elicit, analyze, and document requirements from business and technical stakeholders.Provide technical leadership by understanding system components, interfaces, data flows, business rules, and non-functional requirements.Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure requirements are understood, implemented, and validated.Support the development and maintenance of standards and guidelines related to UI design, data integrity, systems analysis, and security.Conduct research, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems independently.Facilitate communication between business partners and technology teams to maintain alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.Desired Skill Set:4+ years of BSA experience with strong understanding of system analysis techniques and processes.Proven ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.Strong knowledge of system components, interfaces, data flows, business rules, and non-functional requirements.Experience contributing to the development of business and technical standards and guidelines.Familiarity with banking applications, processes, and terminology.High level of independence with strong problem-solving and research skills.Excellent relationship-building skills and demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.Nice-to-Have:Understanding of and ability to foster the use of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).Experience working in the financial or government sector.Relevant certifications such as CBAP, or a related technical/undergraduate degree.BeachHead is an equal opportunity agency and employer.
