Business Systems Analyst

Role: Business Systems Analyst We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that IT investments deliver maximum value. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to document processes, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions for developers and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Strategy & PlanningCollaborate with project sponsors to define project scope and vision.Identify stakeholders and user classes, and gather requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis.Establish scope and parameters for requirements analysis, defining impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.Prioritize requirements and develop strategies to enhance requirements-gathering processes.Operational ManagementAnalyse and validate requirements for completeness, feasibility, and compliance with standards.Assess existing software solutions for optimization and alignment with business needs.Create clear, concise requirements specifications and translate conceptual needs into functional requirements.Develop prototypes, process models, diagrams, and charts to guide development teams.Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.Provide guidance to junior team members and deliver 1st and 2nd level support for business systems.Identify opportunities to improve data quality and streamline processes.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information systems.5-7 years' experience in a similar role.Proven experience in requirements analysis, modeling, and methodology development.Proficiency in SQL scripting, report writing, and LEAN/Six Sigma process improvements.Project management skills and experience with related tools.Diversity Equity & InclusionEssential to our success as a Professional Organization is our ability to attract and retain the best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds.
