Location: Eerste River, Western Cape, South AfricaAfrimat (CM) Western Cape (Pty) Ltd, based at Peak Quarry, has a vacancy for a:BuyerMinimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies Grade 12 National Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Procurement. At least 5 years’ experience as a Buyer preferably in the mining / engineering industry. Knowledge of the BBBEE Codes. Must have the ability to work without supervision and to multitask and prioritize. Computer literate and knowledge of ERP systems. Good verbal and written communication skills Team player. Valid drivers’ licence. Ability to work long hours and overtime when required. Excellent attention to detail.Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited Not) Creating purchase orders and ensuring that appropriate approval is received. Ensure that orders are delivered on time. Manage stock and availability. Expedite all procurement-related activities to ensure the efficient and timely completion of purchasing, delivery, and supply chain functions. Sourcing of goods and services Resolve performance issues with suppliers. Investigate alternative sources of supply. Valid drivers’ licence Develop and maintain relationships within the supply chain and internal departments.
