My Client ; a leading Irish FMCG Organisation based in the Munster are now looking for an ambitious BUYER/DEMAND PLANNER to join the Business. Martin – the Commercial Director- leads by example and he said “Denis I am looking for someone who has strong attention to detail ; can work through the numbers but as important- can have a voice and not afraid to push the agenda with Customers- ( spot gaps ; opportunities) In this role the focus will be working on forecasting; liaising with NPD; supply chain and being responsible for a high turnover category.- so every cent counts !- where we can cut down on costs with packaging for example – This person must have excellent interpersonal skills and get buy in internally- and be prepared to see the ‘ whole picture’ so if he/ she makes a decision ; what are the ramifications and ripple effect”.I cannot speak highly enough of the team- there is a family led ethos- where everyone genuinely listens to each other and Martin and Senior Management are approachable.NB- This is hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in the office ; - it comes with an attractive package – for this role you must have at least 2-3 FMCG experience in a buyer/ demand planner role or as an Account Manager-- please do not apply if you dont have a FMCG background.Responsibilities:Develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key retail customers, under the guidance of the Commercial Director.Report on the sales and profitability and account initiatives to grow sales in your accounts on a weekly basisLiaise with members of Senior Management in developing weekly, monthly, quarterly action plans for customers that are in line with the annual account plan and the overall company strategic plan.Work on product pricing model for submission of pricing to customers at tender time.Liaise with planning department ; NPD and logistics on a weekly basis regarding forecast planning.Manage the costs associated with doing business with each of the key accounts.Develop a relationship with each relevant member of the trading and supply chain teams in each of the key accounts. Also build relationships with managers of key stores at a local level.Work closely with production and quality departments in New Product Development; Delivery of NPD to your own accounts immediately after launch.Key Skills and Experience:2- 4 years experience is a must as a buyer/ demand planner/ Account manager and FMCG sector is a must.Ability to manage numerous key accounts and divide time correctly between small, medium, and large accounts.Strong numeric & commercial acumen to proactively manage major accounts to maintain product margin and meet account targets.Excellent communicator with exceptional presentation skills and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.For more information please contact Denis Mac Sweeney on 087 977 2742 or email Denis at denis@amicus.ie .
