Kelly is currently recruiting! Our client, a global leader in enabling pharma, biotechnology, and consumer health partners located in Strathroy, ON is seeking to hire a Buyer for a 6–12-month contract.Responsibilities:Review and analyze daily MRP data for raw material and/or packaging component requirements, managing purchase cost, production planning and inventory value considerations.Issuance, maintenance and follow up of purchase orders and MRP item master input and maintenance.Proactive development of competitive sourcing opportunities in all areas of assigned responsibilities (materials, equipment, supplies etc).Contribute to the strategic development of supply base management and company initiatives as required.Reactively respond to fluctuations/dynamics from both external and internal material demands and availabilities.Support onboarding of suppliers, initiating change formsSource Canadian alternative for direct & indirect materials – getting samples, paperwork, prices, quotes etc. Analyzing data and way forward based on best prices and lead timesWorking with Finance and shared services ensuring any discrepancies, invoices and payments are resolved.Qualifications/Skills Required:2-3 years’ experience in purchasing within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is requiredExperience purchasing in Canada and US is requiredPost-secondary degree/diploma in Supply Chain or ProcurementExperience with using ERP/MRP database systemsIntermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS OfficeHighly motivated, results oriented and drivenAble to work efficiently in tight deadlinesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm steady demeanourAdditional Information:A background check is requiredMust have own transportation as location is not accessible by public transitPerks:Pay rate $31.00/hour + 4% vacation payWeekly pay via direct depositWhy Kelly®?As a worker today, it’s up to you to take charge of your career and look for opportunities to learn, grow and achieve your potential.
