Quest Search and Selection is hiring a Buying Manager – FMCG (non-food) . This role could be suitable to candidates who hve bought pets, cleaning, feeding & baby categories etc. Here you will be involved in supplier engagement and deliver premium products to customers. This is hands-on role that will contribute to the rapid growth of an innovative e-commerce business.The company is a dynamic retail e-commerce platform with operations across the UK and Europe, currently scaling its FMCG category team. With advanced technology enabling same-day or next-day delivery, the business is known for its world-class supply chain, digital innovation, and start-up-driven culture.Role and Responsibilities of this Buying Manager – FMCG (non-food) Role:Take ownership of the buying and sales performance for the non-food product category.Drive commercial growth by onboarding key brands and building strong partnerships with suppliers.Review critical performance metrics to uncover sourcing inefficiencies and develop strategies to optimise supplier and category performance.Maintain ideal inventory levels to ensure consistent product availability.Design and implement end-to-end sales strategies, including competitive pricing models and effective promotional plans.Identify new partnership opportunities, manage supplier negotiations, review fee structures, and maintain accurate product and pricing data.Build compelling product assortments tailored to consumer preferences needs.Work in coordination with international supply chain teams to ensure adequate support and resource allocation.Use sales and procurement analytics to uncover trends, suggest process improvements, and drive profitability.Collaborate with regional and local stakeholders to execute and adapt strategic plans.Qualifications Required for this Buying Manager – FMCG (non-food) Role:salary between 60,000 - 80,000 euros3+ years of proven experience in Category Management and Buying.Good experience within FMCG whether tht is non-food categories within an eCommerce, mixed goods or supermarket retailer.Strong grasp of consumer behaviour.Existing network of supplier relationships within the EU, FMCG landscape.Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with a structured approach to decision-making.Confident communicator with a strong desire for continuous improvement and learning.Proactive, creative, and team-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering value and supporting broader business objectives.Benefits of this Buying Manager – FMCG (non-food):5 days in-office for the first 3 months, followed by hybrid workingbonusCommuting allowancePension schemePhone allowanceIf this role sounds like you please apply quoting the reference number JO-2510-115296.
