Based in Oslo, this position will have overall operational responsibility for designated vessels. The role requires following up on contractual commitments, monitoring daily operational activities, ensuring vessel compliance to various regulations and performance as per Charter Party contracts.

The role involves working closely with Charterers, Key Account management team and technical fleet organization based in Oslo to support our customers, in constant pursuit of operational excellence.

ResponsibilitiesOverall operational responsibility for designated LNG vesselsMonitor all daily operational activities and coordinate with Charterers, Vessel, and fleet management teamSupervise and verify all voyage and cargo information processed between office, vessels, and charterers in accordance with the charter party requirementsCarry out ship shore compatibility studies with nominated terminalsLiaise with the charterers concerning all pre-and post-fixture supportMonitor and record all relevant voyage performance including off-hire, stoppages, and delaysCarry out offhire calculations as per contract and negotiate with charterersLiaise with local agents and port authorities to ensure smooth handling of spare parts, services, and surveysCarry out Voyage Fuel Performance calculations as per Charter PartyDrive performance improvement initiatives and sharing of best practicesBe part of Incident Management team when requiredActively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental proceduresQualificationsBachelor/similar degree in Maritime studies, Nautical Science, or equivalent.

Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal educationMinimum 2 years’ relevant experience in the LNG/LPG industry in an operational / technical roleSeafaring experience as an Officer on LNG/ LPG vessels would be preferable.
