Role DescriptionC-B Gear & Machine, Inc. is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer / Project Manager to support and grow our customer base while ensuring the successful management of gear manufacturing projects from quotation through delivery. This dual-role position combines technical sales support with hands-on project management to ensure customer satisfaction and project success. Qualifications • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, worm) and gearbox systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and tolerancing (GD&T). • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field. • Experience with ERP systems and quoting software. • Familiarity with AGMA, API, or other applicable gear design standards. • CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus. • Prior customer-facing experience in a custom or job-shop environment.
