Cable Engineer

Our client, a key player in the European power and energy sector, is expanding due to rapid growth in the Netherlands. They are currently seeking an experienced Cable Engineer to join their multidisciplinary engineering team in Arnhem. This team is known for its collaborative spirit, technical excellence, and commitment to delivering complex, large-scale energy projects across the continent. What Will You Do?As a Cable Engineer, you’ll step into a critical technical role where your expertise will bridge the gap between design, execution, and client communication. Your day-to-day tasks will include:Designing, calculating, and specifying high-voltage cable systemsCreating detailed technical layouts and cable routing plansPreparing and presenting proposals for internal and external stakeholdersEnsuring compliance with relevant safety standards and European cable engineering regulationsCollaborating with a 30-person engineering team and reporting to the Team LeadContributing to innovative, impactful infrastructure and energy projects across Europe What Do You Bring?We’re looking for someone who combines deep technical knowledge with a hands-on, solution-driven attitude. You’ll likely bring:A HBO/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering5+ years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in high-voltage systemsSolid understanding of European cable engineering standards and legislationStrong skills in technical design, proposal development, and project documentationA proactive, team-oriented mindset and strong communication skillsExperience working with both internal stakeholders and external clientsBonus points for prior experience with high-voltage cable projects
