Job Description

Your Role at Cabot Analyzes in-process and final product samples to ensure compliance with Quality standards. Evaluates and reports test results. Uses quality systems and ensures that daily operations are safe and comply with SH&E requirements. Manages the plant’s document control and its database. Report to Quality Manager and Quality Lab Supervisor. May also work in support of research and development activities. How You Will Make An Impact Obtain samples from multiple locations and conduct multiple analyses to determine the quality and reliability of products. Tests for quality, performance and chemical characteristics.

Evaluates and reports test results in an accurate and timely manner. Uses Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) to enter test results. Determines compliance with Quality standards. May set up tests and equipment and conduct special functional tests on products or other materials. Ensures test equipment being used is calibrated and in a safe operating condition. Coordinate with the maintenance personnel for any suspected behavior observed in the test equipment. Uses the system to enter work orders and requisitions. Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.

Perform any duties as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor. Manages the plant’s document control and its database, which includes creating, revising, uploading, issuing and retrieving obsolete. Supports and participates in the company's goals and objectives. Participates in ISO-9001 implementation and ensures compliance with applicable requirements. Participates 5S implementation programWhat You Will Bring To Cabot Basic knowledge in analytical techniques, chemical-handling and laboratory procedures. Knowledge of ISO standards is a plus. Manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Written, verbal communication and active listening skills in English. Computer Literate.

Ability to read and interpret complex operating instructions. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment. Very good Microsoft Office skills Excellent organization skills to complete various sample tests simultaneously. Flexibility in performing changing assignments and work schedules. Education/Experience College Diploma or equivalent with basic knowledge in a Chemistry laboratory. 1-3 years of experience in quality control and quality assurance.
