SODECIA is a multinational company specialized in the manufacture of structural parts for the automotive sector.In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated CAD/CAE (m/w/d) Engineer to join our team in the shortest possible time.As a CAE Engineer, you will be the link between digital development and physical production, ensuring that components and assemblies meet the most stringent quality and safety standards even before the first prototype is built.The use of GD&T ensures that manufacturing requirements are integrated into the digital model. Its performance is particularly important in phases 1 (planning) and 2 (product development). The D-FMEA methodology will be used to anticipate and reduce the risk of process failures.Join our teamSend your application (with cover letter, CV and certificates) toMr. Schröder by e-mail: valentin.schroeder@sodecia.comMain Tasks:• Perform linear and nonlinear structural analysis (FEM), focusing on crash performance, stiffness and strength;• Evaluate how shape and position tolerances (such as parallelism or location of weld points) impact stiffness or behavior in collision situations;• Ensure that the critical dimensions (KPs) identified in the simulations are reflected in the drawings, ensuring functionality, such as force transmission;• Use simulations as the main tool to validate the project before the construction of expensive tools;• Provide essential data for project reviews within the scope of the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), being its "virtual stamp" decisive for phase progression;• Validate specific scenarios identified by FMEA, such as high risks of "breakage in weld X", through simulation (example: LS-DYNA);• Analyze the dispersion of the test data to accurately calibrate the parameters of the simulations (material charts, coefficients of friction);• Prepare detailed technical reports and present results to internal stakeholders and customers.Your profile:• Higher education in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent area, with specialization in Simulation/Mechanics• Mastery of the finite element method (FEM), preferably with experience in HyperMesh, LS-DYNA or Nastran tools• Experience in the automotive sector, especially in the formation of welded plates and assemblies, will be considered a differential• Fluency in German and advanced knowledge of English, essential for communication in SODECIA's global network• Solid knowledge of business economics, as well as understanding of cost and profitability structures• Analytical, structured and solution-focused approach in the development of the work• Genuine interest in technical challengesOur benefits:• Still don't meet all the requirements?
