Must be proficient with 3D design principles, manufacturing tolerances, and industry standards. Technical problem-solving and evaluation abilities are required. Familiarity with 3D design and manufacturing philosophies is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a CAD team are also necessary.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with design engineers to create new revisions of 3D models and detailed technical manufacturing drawingsBe proficient in the use of one or more 3D CAD systems, engineering database tools, revision control systems, and Part Lifecycle Management (PLM) softwareIntegrate company objectives into your work by having a basic understanding of the GIW workflow, product platforms, and processesWork within a CAD team to identify and solve complex problemsMake drawing changes from verbal information or rough sketchesEnsure the reliability of downstream processes by generating high-quality, error-free models and drawings for both internal and external production, as well as for use by the final customerSupport complex design initiatives within a CAD teamUtilize established CAD design practices, standards, and work instructionsCommunicate professionally on technical matters relating to pump design and manufactureQualificationsEducation:Minimum of a two-year Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalentExperience2 years of experience using 3D CAD softwareExperience should include 3D modeling and assemblies, as well as 2D drawingMust be proficient in the skills needed to produce 3D models and 2D drawingsShould be familiar with fabrications and GD&TKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
