The one who transforms design concepts into clear, professional plans that teams and clients can rely on. When the design team needs reflected ceiling plans, system layouts, or precise documentation, you’ve already delivered, accurate, organized, and ahead of schedule.As a CAD Designer, you’ll play an essential role behind the scenes, supporting the design and engineering teams. You’ll work closely with team leads to create and maintain detailed plan sets, follow technical instructions, and apply standard templates to ensure consistency across all drawings. Your ability to stay organized, self-manage tasks, and adapt quickly to revisions will make you a key part of the project workflow.And the best part? You’ll do it all from the comfort of your home collaborating remotely with a talented, design-driven team.What Your Days Might Look LikeCreate, update, and maintain 2D plan sets for residential lighting and low-voltage system designsEnsure symbols, icons, and layers are accurately placed, scaled, and consistent with design standardsFollow technical instructions and apply standardized templates for all drawingsProduce reflected ceiling plans, elevation diagrams, and layout drawings from design team directionUse color coding and symbols to distinguish system components (lighting, AV, security, networking, shading, etc.)Collaborate with team leads and designers for alignment, revisions, and updatesAttend internal Zoom meetings and, on occasion, design reviews with clientsSelf-manage priorities, complete edits, and proactively solve design-related challengesMaintain organized digital file structures and documentation for easy access and version controlWho We Think Will Thrive In This RoleYou have experience creating technical drawings and maintaining 2D plan documentationYou have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to precisionYou have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files and revisionsYou have strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools quicklyYou have excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlinesYou have clear communication skills — both written and verbalYou’re a self-starter, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working remotelyYou have a background in architecture, drafting, design, or a related field (a plus)You are willing to work in a US time zone schedule.You can secure the required technical setup, including:At least a 720p HD webcamA noise-canceling headsetA primary internet connection of at least 25 MbpsA backup laptop, backup internet device, and backup power sourceA main computer with at least Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) and 8 GB RAMA backup computer with at least Intel Core i3 and 4 GB RAMWhy ClearDesk?Because we believe work should be meaningful, even from home.At ClearDesk, you’ll work with clients who respect your time and value your skills.
