Join us in shaping the success and making an impact that truly matters.  The CAD Draftsman will provide specialized support in designing and documenting security system layouts for residential and commercial projects. This role is essential in ensuring that security solutions are accurately represented in construction and architectural plans, enabling seamless installation and integration of systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms.

The CAD Draftsman will be responsible for translating architectural drawings and riser diagrams into precise line drawings, illustrating device placement, wiring paths, and technical schematics. Their work will play a critical role in coordinating with architects, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure each security installation is technically sound, code-compliant, and tailored to client requirements.  What you’ll be doing: Develop and maintain high-precision CAD drawings that illustrate security device layouts for both residential and commercial projects, including but not limited to CCTV camera placement, motion detectors, intrusion alarms, access control panels, badge readers, emergency call systems, and door hardware.

Interpret and convert architectural floorplans and site drawings into security overlay designs, ensuring all devices are optimally positioned to meet project requirements, coverage zones, line-of-sight constraints, and client-specific security standards. Translate riser diagrams and schematic layouts into detailed 2D line drawings, clearly representing device interconnections, cabling paths, and termination points for low-voltage security systems such as structured cabling, fiber optics, and control units. Collaborate closely with internal teams, architects, and clients to integrate the security scope into the broader project architecture, ensuring that device placements are structurally feasible, accessible, and compliant with local codes and safety standards.

Review and revise drawings based on client feedback and change orders, documenting all modifications clearly through revision notes and following strict version control protocols. Utilize standard architectural drafting conventions tailored specifically to security industry symbols and layout standards (e. g. , IP cameras, magnetic locks, biometric readers, intercoms).  Qualifications and Requirements: At least 2-4 years of experience as a CAD Draftsman, CAD Operator, or Design Technician. Strong background in architectural drafting or electrical layout design. Proficiency in CAD software and remote desktop environments. Familiarity with architectural documentation standards (icons, notations, revision control).

Ability to interpret and draft based on riser diagrams and system plans. High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and coordination with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have: Experience in security systems design, including CCTV, access control, network infrastructure, and low voltage systems. Background in both residential and commercial project drafting. Exposure to audio-visual systems, especially in integrated environments.
