Position Overview: The Director of Information Technology is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all IT-related activities within the organization. This includes leadership of infrastructure, systems, development, cybersecurity, help desk operations, and data analytics platforms, including Tableau. The Director will guide a diverse IT team, vendors, manage strategic technology projects, and ensure alignment between IT capabilities and organizational goals, especially in support of digital transformation and compliance in healthcare. Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and VisionDevelop and execute a strategic IT roadmap aligned with organizational objectives and growth targetsLead innovation and adoption of emerging technologies with a focus on healthcare IT and security Provide strategic direction and mentoring to IT staff, MSSP, and analytics teamsLead and manage the cross-functional IT initiatives and vendors to optimize SLAs and standardsOperational ExcellenceImplement, document, and maintain robust IT systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency and productivityOversee and maintain robust IT operations, SLA performance, and service delivery, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and procurement, ensuring adherence to contracts and SLA optimizationEnsure the reliability, stability, performance, and scalability of technology solutions, including cloud servicesOversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring completion on time and budgetTeam ManagementDirectly supervise IT staff, vendors, and MSSP services, including help desk and data integration servicesSupervise and support teams using Tableau and related data platforms to deliver actionable insightsOversee performance management, training, and career development for IT personnelCultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on collaboration and accountabilitySecurity, Compliance, and Risk ManagementLead cybersecurity initiatives, audits, and risk assessmentsDevelop and implement policies and procedures for effective data management and cybersecurityEnhance the security framework to protect sensitive data and systems from emerging threatsOversee data privacy, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning and executionEnsure all IT services and data handling are HIPAA-compliant and aligned with industry’s best practicesProactively develop and implement solutions that exceed regulatory and client requirementsQualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (master’s preferred)Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership, preferably in healthcare or regulated industriesStrong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, data security, and operations managementProven experience leading development teams working with Iguana, MS SQL, and Tableau or other BI toolsExperience with Windows networks, Office 365, Active Directory, Intune, and cloud solutionsWorking knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory compliances, cybersecurity standards, and IT governanceCertifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferredDemonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teamsKey SkillsStrategic Thinking & VisionTeam Leadership & Staff and Vendor DevelopmentCybersecurity & Risk ManagementITIL/Service ManagementStrong Analytical & Communication SkillsVendor & Budget ManagementTableau and Data Visualization Tools OversightProblem Solving & InnovationBenefits:
