CAE Engineer – Safety & Crash

In this role, you will contribute to the development of world-class safety performance through advanced virtual simulations and analysis of vehicle crash structures.About the roleAs a CAE Engineer within Safety Analysis, you will perform finite element simulations to analyze and optimize the structural behavior of vehicles in both low- and high-speed, pedestrian and occupant crash scenarios. You will support an experienced team of engineers in reaching legal and rating targets, ensuring that our future vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and performance.You will work closely with your team and engineering manager, participating in the entire process from model creation and simulation to analysis and technical solution development. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovation in crash safety and to work with cutting-edge tools and methods in a highly skilled environment.Main responsibilitiesCreate, develop, and refine virtual simulation models (CAE)Perform simulations and analyses using results from both virtual and physical testsSupport in the development of technical solutions and numerical methodsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams Your backgroundMSc in Engineering Experience in CAE tools such as LS-Dyna, ANSA, and Meta PostPrevious experience from CAE analysis within automotive or related industriesStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex simulation dataFluent in English, both spoken and writtenStrong collaboration skills Meritorious experienceWell-documented experience within CAE safety analysis, especially focused on front structure systemsKnowledge of automotive product development processesExperience from other OEMs within the CAE Safety areaSkills in tools such as TeamCenter, VisMockup, or CATIAKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python or MATLABAbout ALTENALTEN is one of Europe’s largest engineering and IT consulting companies, with over 57,000 employees in around 30 countries.
