This position is open for work at either our head office in Stouffville, Ontario, or, in Québec. The successful candidate should be fluent in both French and English.Here’s what we can offer you: A competitive employment package including a base salary commensurate with experience in addition to life, disability and health benefits;Access to the most advanced simulation products from Ansys which you will demonstrate and support for our growing customer base;Ability to showcase your work on internal and customer-focused consulting projects spanning all phases of design, ranging from research and concept design through to production readiness;The autonomy to come in and steer your career in a friendly and collaborative work environment.The successful candidates possess simulation theoretical training and broad practical experience successfully developing and applying sophisticated simulation technologies to challenging real-world applications. Our primary focus for this role is on structures, mechanisms and systems modeling.  Under the supervision of the CAE Team Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the CAE Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following two main complementary activities:1.Application EngineerProvide Ansys Application Engineering services by delivering detailed software demonstrations and presentations, supporting the sales team to accurately determine customer technical requirements, and supporting technical sales by providing explicit data-driven insights;Provide Ansys Technical Support services to our customers by responding via email or direct technical consultations;Conduct expert-level training / mentoring in CAE, both online and in person;Become (or further develop as) a subject-matter expert in one or more fields;Complete annual continuing professional development and training activities;2.CAE EngineerUse a variety of numerical approaches and tools to complete engineering projects from start to finish;Plan practical modeling approaches to solve a range of complex problems;Create virtual prototypes of complex systems;Develop load cases using simulation, industry research or test data;Review and validate models, perform in-depth interpretation of results, and provide clear, concise communications to customers;Perform calculations and other modeling to support engineering designs (manual, FEA, spreadsheet, custom programs, test data processing, etc.);Develop and manage engineering requirements, design specifications and validation plans;Coordinate or conduct support activities, including prototyping and testing activities; The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated performance in an engineering role;Minimum of two (2) years of direct CAE experience successfully creating elegant and sophisticated virtual prototypes. You will be working hands-on and must be highly proficient in CAE;Ability to develop and apply novel methods to accurately and efficiently solving complex numerical problems;Strong customer-facing presence and skills;Strong knowledge of modern engineering computing and data management infrastructure, including using Microsoft Windows environments, managing CAE software and licensing installations, managing data and working within a computer network;Excellent written and verbal communications skills to coordinate the flow of information to teams and clients;Exceptional analytical, organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects; andP.Eng./Ing. designation, or equivalent, is an asset.TSI is a professional engineering company and is registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods Directorate, and accordingly the selected candidate must be a Canadian citizen and successfully pass a security screening process.  Kindly forward your resume and with cover letter via email to hr@thumbprintsolutions.com. TSI welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
