What you'll be doing | Te whakamahereWaitangi Treaty Grounds is looking for a Cafe Manager to join the Whare Waka Café team, located within the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. This pivotal permanent role is responsible for providing sustenance to manuhuri visiting Aotearoa New Zealandâs most significant site as well as the local community.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToCreating a welcoming Café environment with excellent food and serviceOverseeing the F&B component of Waitangiâs signature HÄngi and Concert productManaging a young and enthusiastic Café teamPromoting a culture of continual learning and improvementOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the CaféEnsuring staff adhere with company policies, procedures and all related food, health & safety compliance requirements.What you'll need to be successful | Å PÅ«kengaThis permanent minimum 30hr role is suited to someone who is passionate about manaakitanga and who would relish the challenge of contributing to an amazing experience at this stunning location. (Note: From October - April this is a full time role).Our Ideal Candidate WillHave 2-3yrs experience managing a busy Café environmentTake pride in and have a commitment to excellent food and service standardsHave good leadership & communication skillsEnjoy developing and leading a young team.
