About The RoleTo provide general support to the Professional Development, Marketing and Sales teams in East Africa and to contribute to the achievement of the objectives for the region.
Professional Development supportProvides support for resources training meetings and PD events such as face to face trainings, trainer recruitment, trainer conferences (including booking conference venues, accommodation, making travel arrangements, booking equipment, and taking and distributing minutes) Manages delegate bookings Coordinates the printing and distribution of training materials Capturing of attendance registers and marketing leads/contacts Preparing Certificates for all attendees Manages the collection and communication of post event trainer and delegate feedback. Marketing supportFor both Cambridge and third-party marketing events: Coordinate marketing event venue bookings, including setup, technical requirements, and catering.
Provide support at marketing events including setting up and delegate registration Order and manage marketing material and collateral Webinar support Manage new supplier registrations Support coordination of distributor/retailer marketing activities such as advertising or in-store collateral Education reformSupport Partnership for Education to research opportunities and educational trends in East Africa under the supervision of the Head of Education Reform on request. Office and sales administrationCourier: Arrange couriers - get quotes, complete waybill for courier, arrange collection with courier company and ensure that courier approval forms are authorised. Travel:
Booking of local and international flights for the team and make travel arrangements using prescribed procedures. Inform staff members of confirmed reservation details. Other: Ensure that purchase order forms and title master forms are completed and processed. About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking), with French considered an advantage. You should have prior experience—ideally 2 to 3 years—in a similar role and be familiar with Cambridge products. Strong computer literacy is essential, particularly with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
You'll need excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong linguistic and communication skills, and the ability to organise tasks, manage deadlines, and perform under pressure. A proactive, results-driven approach is key, along with flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Negotiation skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment will also support your success in the role.
