The Co-Directors will work in partnership to strategically lead the delivery of clinical services within the Division of Cancer Services across the District. The Co-Directors will provide strategic advice to the Board and Executive for all services provided by the Division and provide strategic direction for the clinical services within their division based on the level of activity and expertise delivered across the District. The Co-Directors will foster a multidisciplinary approach to care with a focus on the total patient experience while ensuring service delivery is based on best practice, adapted to local needs and of a high standard. The position may be filled by nursing or allied health leaders. In addition, please note you must have the following essential requirements:Provide clinical leadership, and are responsible for oversight of clinical policies and guidelines within the Division. Develop strategies to minimise clinical risk and ensure quality and safety protocols are maintained across the District for divisional services. Develop and monitor business plans, financial plans and a workforce plans for services within the Division. Allocate funding and activity, in accordance to District operational plans. Undertake workforce planning and development. Develop and support research within the Division with a focus on developing and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ensure consultation occurs with other Divisions and Services when considering new services or strategies. The Co-Director will also assume the role of Service Co-Lead for the appropriate clinical service within the division. A Little About Us. Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
