Pay$22.00/hr Starting; $25.56/hr After Completion of Level 1 (Around 90 Days)Shift3rd Shift; 6p-6a, 3 days one week and 4 days the next; includes every other weekendCompany OverviewUniversal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace products. UAC specializes in 2000- and 7000-series alloys and offers a full range of alloys and tempers that can be tailored to a customers particular application.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesExercise and promote safetySet up and operate extruding press, using aluminum billet to produce ordered shapes, meeting specifications, dimensions and specific weightPerform die changes in required time, adjust speeds and temperatures for product uniformity and qualityInspect products for defectsCheck dimensions with micrometers and calipers making necessary adjustmentsMaintain production and downtime records throughout the shiftAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Education: HS diploma or GEDMinimum Experience: 3 months experience at UACCertifications Required: Obtained during new hire orientationKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesCommunication Skills: Must speak, read and write EnglishMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimalsReasoning Skills: Good reasoning and decision-making skills; ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to learn how to operate complex machineryPhysical Abilities: Required to stand 100% of the time; regularly required to reach with hands and arms; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any time; handle hot metal and tooling; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWorking ConditionsSchedule: 3rd ShiftSafetyAll UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.
