Responsibilities: The Metals & Mining team of Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a highly motivated, successful candidate for the Investment Banking Analyst, Metals & Mining position in Toronto, ON. The Metals & Mining Investment Banking Group offers Analysts the exceptional opportunity to work on small client teams with direct exposure to clients and senior bankers.

Analysts are provided significant responsibility within the full transaction process, including preparing pitch materials, creating financial analyses, preparing marketing materials, and drafting internal committee memoranda. Analysts are expected to receive exposure across various sectors within the metals and mining sector. Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial informationPerform financial analyses and create financial modelsCoordinate industry and company-specific due diligence related to transactionsPerform industry research to support pitches and new business generation activities using tools such as S&P Capital IQ, LSEG Workspace, and Bloomberg Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations and marketing pitches for clients Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree with strong academic track record0-3 years of relevant work experience; prior investment banking experience is not required, however candidates with investment banking or deal related job experience is a plus Self-motivated individuals who display initiative, drive, and leadershipStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and accountingWell-developed PowerPoint and Excel skills including exposure to financial modeling and valuation analyses Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple project deliverables simultaneouslyDemonstrated interest or experience in Metals & Mining; metals and mining industry experience is a plus but not requiredEducational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required
