Ebene, MauritiusThe Assistant Payroll Administrator plays a crucial role in delivering timely, accurate, and efficient payroll services. This position is responsible for processing employee salaries, calculating statutory deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws and internal company policies. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date payroll records, responding to employee queries with professionalism, and supporting month-end reporting requirements.
ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deliveryEnsure smooth and error-free payroll cyclePrepare and verify payroll data, maintaining records for accuracy and data integrityEnsure compliance with tax, superannuation, and statutory obligations through reporting and documentationSupport payroll process improvements and service delivery initiativesGather timesheet and check integrity data in conjunction with the site administrator and project managementEnsure pay subs are recorded accurately.
Assist with auditsPost payroll journals in accounting/ERP systemsAnalysis of results and reportingLiaison with financial institutions as and when requiredComplete month-end checklist and to support financial reporting as per deadline setPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements 5 years’ experience in payroll, and the use of a computerised payroll system (e. g.
