**Job Description****SALARY LEVEL: Hourly, part-time employee****HOURS OF DUTY: 5 hours per day, 7: 30 a. m. to 12: 30 p. m. , ½ hour for Lunch time, Monday-Friday, 250 serving days per fiscal year****REPORTS TO: Executive Director****SUMMARY: Manages and directs the congregate and home delivered meal program toward its primary objectives, based on Federal and State grant rules and regulations, by performing the following duties. ****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ****Maintains all State Health Department rules and regulations governing food service. Will take and keep current appropriate food safety training.
****Greets, provides information, and assists senior participants and visitors. Gathers all necessary information required by the Aging Division Department of Health. ****Coordinates program participant reservations and number of persons to be served with Nutrition Manager at the Torrington Center. ****Maintains correct and appropriate use, care and cleaning of kitchen and the equipment to meet State Sanitation rules. ****Orders supplies, keeps records, and accounts for all orders. Checks in all food orders from Torrington center. ****Maintains cleaning of dining room and bathrooms.
****Congregate and home delivered meals will be served in a timely manner, accurately tracked and documented utilizing approved forms. Forms and money collected will be submitted weekly after the last serving day of each week and at the end of the month. ****Coordinates limited activities and presentations to participants. ****Informs executive director of needed supplies and equipment. ****Picks up food daily at the Torrington center and transports it to Yoder. ****Delivers meals to homebound clients as needed. ****QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of participants or employees of organization. ****MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts . ****REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. ****PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
