Job DescriptionLocation: Rockfield Care Home, Windmill RoadBurnview Healthcare is a group of family run care homes which specialises in Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Day care. The Care Assistant will promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for each individual in line with their care plan and our care home's values.Sponsorship is not available for this role due to it being a bank/casual position.About The RoleMain Duties and Responsibilities:Personal Care & SupportAssist residents with daily personal hygiene (washing, dressing, toileting).Support residents with mobility, positioning, and use of aids (hoists, wheelchairs).Assist with continence care and incontinence support.Help residents with eating and drinking, including feeding when required.Emotional & Social SupportProvide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.Encourage and support residents’ participation in activities and social interaction.Maintain respect and dignity at all times, promoting resident choice and autonomy.Monitoring & Record KeepingObserve and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to senior staff.Accurately record care given, including food and fluid intake, personal care, and observations.Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection guidelines.Health & Safety / Infection ControlFollow care home policies and procedures at all times.Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.Adhere to moving and handling protocols and health & safety guidelines.Skills NeededRelationship, Servicing, Nursing / CaringAbout The CompanyIn all our homes we aim to care for our residents in a way that promotes independence and autonomy whilst giving each resident the surety that we are there to care and assist with their individual needs.
