Job Description

Fixed term contact until December 2028, part-time 27.3hrs per week (0.7 WTE).This role is funded through the WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme. Co-funded through the government of Ireland, through the department of social protection, and the European Union.The Career and Employment Facilitator will be responsible for creating, developing, and supporting adults in preparing for employment. S/he will build relationships with employers in creating opportunities for adults seeking work experience and employment.This is an exciting opportunity to provide a tailored approach for individuals engaging in employment while supporting employers with information on disability and legislation.The successful candidate will be expected to:Live our values of person centredness, respect, quality, collaboration, courage and stewardship in every aspect of their workDemonstrate behaviour consistent with the values of the CRC. Applicants Must Demonstrate The Following Essential Requirements.One year’s relevant experience working with people with disabilities or in a career/ training/ employment roleExperience of networking, building, and maintaining professional relationshipsAn awareness of Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons/Child ProtectionExperience in reaching targets and achieving resultsA relevant technical qualification: i.e. QQI Level 7 or above in social studies, management, education or a related disciplineDesirable Requirements.A Certificate in Supported Employment would be desirableExperience creating opportunities for work placement or paid work with employers or other relevant community-based opportunities. Experience of supporting adults with transitions, long term targets and life goalsMentoring experience and or motivational role model skillsFlexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential as services are delivered in line with the needs of the individuals attending the programmes.
