We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents. The roleCBCity is seeking a Contracts Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of Council’s ICT contracts. In this role, you’ll lead contract negotiations, ensure compliance, support procurement activities, and work closely with stakeholders to improve ICT procurement processes.
You’ll play a key role in managing risk, building strong vendor relationships, and ensuring the organisation gets the best value from its ICT investments.
Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited ToDevelop and manage ICT contract frameworks, templates, and processesReview contracts for compliance, performance, and risk managementOversee contract renewals, amendments, and terminationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with ICT vendorsCollaborate with procurement and legal teams on vendor issuesSupport negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and service levelsContribute to ICT procurement strategies and vendor selectionGuide stakeholders on best practices in contract managementMonitor trends and update practices to align with industry standardsFor a full list of duties, click HERE to review the position description.
You will haveTertiary qualifications in IT, Business, Procurement, or related fieldProven experience in ICT contract and vendor managementStrong written, verbal, and negotiation skillsSolid understanding of contract law and procurement principlesSkilled in risk analysis, problem-solving, and financial evaluationAbility to work independently and collaborate across teamsKnowledge of ICT regulations, standards, and compliance requirementsExcellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skillsDesirable, but not essential: experience working in the public sector in a technology environment or, project management. The salary range for this opportunity starts at $82,701 (Grade F, Step 1) + 12% Super. What’s On OfferSalary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
