Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Corporate team in our Cayman Islands office. Legal secretarial and administrative duties: Drafting and proof-reading legal documentation and reports making amendments as necessaryTyping correspondence and legal paperworkResponding to internal and external telephone enquiriesMaintaining calendars and schedulesManaging files and the completion of documentsCompleting company searches and conflict checksFiling and recordkeepingCreating and formatting presentations and reports as required in accordance with brand guidelinesOrganising travel arrangementsArranging and assisting with marketing/client eventsInvoice processingPerforming everyday secretarial dutiesOther duties and responsibilities:

Assisting in the creation of new clients / matters on Document Management system (DMS)Adding partner and fee earner contacts and ensuring data is up-to-date to include accurate profiling of contactsAdding partner and fee earner marketing & business development (M&BD) activities to their contacts listArrange the opening, closing and archiving of accounts and filesThe ideal candidates should have: Prior legal secretarial experience, preferably having worked for a partner and conducted billingExperience with electronic document management systems such as iManage, client management systems and Microsoft office applications.

Experience of 3E and Intapp would be advantageousGood writing and proofreading skills and excellent attention to detailPrior experience in preparing complex and properly formatted documentsThe ability to work with minimal supervision and be committed to providing a high level of client serviceA team oriented and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environmentCandidates must have Caymanian status, or hold a suitable RERC certificate.
