Main ResponsibilitiesAssist in the quarterly financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal deadlinesPerform reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts (e. g.
, vessels, inventories, accounts payable, accruals), identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerContribute to revenue recognition processes in accordance with applicable accounting standardsProcess and monitor vendor invoices, ensuring proper account coding and necessary approvalsSupport the preparation and execution of payments, including accurate recording within the accounting systemCollaborate with internal departments and liaise with external vendors to investigate and resolve accounting-related issuesRequirementsDesired Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3 to 7 years of relevant experience in shipping industry accountingFamiliarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS (preferred)Experience with Benefit Software is an advantageProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic financial formulasExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishReferences will be requiredBenefitsDaily Lunch Allowance Life & Health insurance Dental insurance Annual discretionary bonus Special Bday gift Opportunities for professional growth
