Category ManagerResponsibilities:As a Category Manager, you'll work on the purchasing and tendering of components in the primary process. Your main responsibilities include:Development of category strategies: You develop and implement strategies for specific materials and installations, manage accreditation schemes and carry out EU tenders.Stakeholder management: Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to ensure that all interests are properly taken into account when developing and working with the category strategy.Supplier relations: You conduct supplier meetings and visits, and ensure the implementation and follow-up of (framework) agreements.Innovation and optimization: Active contribution to innovation themes such as standardization, digitalization, data, and sustainability within your field of work.You act as an escalation point for structural issues within a specific category.The work within this team or project contributes to the modernization, expansion and sustainability of the Dutch high-voltage network.Who you areWe are looking for an experienced professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and experience in developing and implementing category strategies.You have the following qualifications:Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferably in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement.Relevant, at least 5 years, work experience in the field of Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement, preferably related to Category Management.Experience with EU tenders, such as systems such as Mercell.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to convince other (both internal and external) stakeholders of the category strategy to be implemented.Independence and initiative, but also the ability to work well within a team.Strong communication skills and an excellent command of both Dutch and English.Location: Arnhem + HybridHours per week: 40Duration: ASAP – May 29 2026
