The main objective of CBS is to set up a distinctive research-teaching program, of international level, to meet the research and teaching challenges of UM6P, on green and environmental chemistry applied to all aspects of chemical sciences: organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemical and thermal reactions.Research at CBS is organized around several major areas, which aim to answer challenging industrial questions, from complex chemical and biochemical reactions to scale-up and validation of process engineering. CBS projects aim at an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of all transformations in order to propose new original alternatives in terms of efficiency, environmental friendliness and sustainability.Job Title: Assistant Professor in Electrochemical ProcessesEducation And Research Specialization In CBSA multidisciplinary profile specializing in electrochemical processes. The research focuses primarily on the use of electrochemical processes for environmental and industrial applications.Job DescriptionThe Chemical & Biochemical Sciences – Green Process Engineering (CBS) department at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is recruiting a research professor specialized in electrochemical processes with at least 5 years of solid experience in the academic or industrial field. The candidate's area of expertise must cover at least one of the electrochemistry disciplines (e.g., electroanalysis, electrocatalysis, bioelectrochemistry, etc.).The candidate's research activities will focus on applied research projects and industrial collaboration projects. He/she will work closely with our chemists and research specialists.In terms of teaching, the candidate will strengthen the CBS department's teaching team. His/her experience and expertise should allow him/her to contribute to the development of academic programs and supervise the training of postdoctoral researchers, PhD candidates, and graduate students.The candidate will also be expected to actively participate in national and international project calls. He/she will be required to develop a network of national and international collaborations and participate in research projects and missions assigned to him/her.Main TasksThe successful candidate should be able to:Contribute to the development and submission of funding applications through innovative research projects in the field of electrochemical processes.Establish and maintain collaborations/relationships with other research centers and laboratories within Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).Build new collaborations and partnerships with international institutions and research centers.Develop, in collaboration with current teams, academic programs related to the field of Electrochemical Processes.Supervise Master’s, PhD, and Post-doc students.Candidate ProfileHold a PhD in Electrochemical Processes or an equivalent field.Have relevant experience in R&D in Electrochemical Processes, demonstrated by publications in international journals and/or patents.Show experience in education and research-based training.Be capable of developing partnerships with Moroccan and foreign industries.Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively within a team.Have a good command of both French and English.Required SkillsResearch SkillsSolid knowledge of fundamental electrochemistry.Mastery of applied industrial electrochemistry.Expertise in hydrogen technologies (e.g., water electrolyzers, CO₂ reduction).Mastery of process scale-up and extrapolation.Proficiency in manufacturing processes and applications of electrochemical systems.Teaching SkillsAbility to teach at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels in electrochemistry.Supervision of graduate and postgraduate students.Applications and Selection ProcedureThe Application File Must IncludeA motivation letter indicating the position applied for and main research interests.A detailed CV.Names, contact addresses, and email addresses of at least two academic references.UM6P
