All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund. About the roleThe Junior Investment Data Analyst at Cbus is a key member of the Investment Analytics & Insights team.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely investment data and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making. Acting as the first point of contact for system administration, data queries, and issue resolutions, the role involves daily support for the Investment Data Platform (IDP) and its reporting functions. It requires close collaboration with front, middle, and back-office teams, as well as external technology and data providers. Additionally, the analyst contributes to enhancing the IDP to meet evolving business needs and plays an active role in broader data initiatives across the Investment department.
Key AccountabilitiesMaintain Cbus’ Investment Data Platform including account setups, static data maintenance, user access control, to ensure secure and accurate data flowSupport daily workflows, data quality checks and platform maintenance to ensure timely, accurate investment data and smooth rebalancing processes while proactively enhancing the IDPSupport IDP users with daily usage, training, queries and issuesImplement and review data quality checks, resolving expectations and enhancing IDP safeguards proactivelyUse JIRA to log and classify data issues, monitor trends and support root cause analysis across investment data domainsWork with the investments teams and data stewards to improve data processes and contribute to operational risk and quality reportingWhat will you bring?Similar experience in a Data Analyst role ideally in Investments, Superannuation or Financial ServicesTertiary qualifications in Data Science, Investments, Finance, IT or a related fieldExperience interpreting, manipulating and analysing data using SQL including writing queries in SQL and writing scripts to draw out useful business insightsKnowledge of third-party investment systems such as Factset, Ortec, Pearl, BarraOne, RIMES, Datastream and/or Bloomberg is preferred but not required.
