Description: Role Overview: We’re seeking a hands-on and adaptable Site Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance for a high-profile, complex construction project in Honiara, Solomon Islands. This role ensures compliance with contractual standards, drives continuous improvement, and provides on-the-ground quality leadership across all site activities.

It's ideally suited to someone with experience delivering large-scale construction projects in Australia or New Zealand, coupled with exposure to remote or developing country environments. You'll bring the proven ability to influence and uplift quality standards in low-resource or high-risk settings. Key Responsibilities: Lead site-based quality inspections and compliance against ITPs and project specifications. Validate and certify construction works, ensuring Hold/Witness Point protocols are followed. Guide and mentor engineers and local workers to improve quality outcomes. Ensure suppliers and subcontractors meet all QA requirements and provide coaching where needed. Manage defect rectification and support budgeting for quality-related works.

Report on quality performance, escalate non-conformances, and collaborate with the Head of HSEQ. Deliver site training and implement effective QA processes in alignment with international standards. Skills and Experiences: What We’re Looking For: Tertiary engineering qualifications (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical). 8+ years in engineering with strong QA and site experience. 5+ years on major construction projects in Australia or New Zealand (experience in remote, overseas or developing nations highly regarded). Culturally aware, adaptable, and able to lead in multi-skilled and semi-skilled work environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and training capability. Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint; Procore experience desirable.
