About this role the Supplier Development Lead is responsible for researching, identification and supporting the qualification of new suppliers. This role supports global strategic sourcing initiatives by building a robust and competitive supplier base to support CCR’s cost competitiveness. The role is required to interface with various areas of the business (e. g. , Product Management, Engineering, Factories) on a local and global level. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers across APAC regional markets. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified suppliers for key commoditiesEvaluate supplier capabilities, certifications, financial health, and compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Collaborate with engineering, product marketing and quality teams to define supplier requirementsLead initial supplier engagement including RFI/RFP/RFQ processes based on defined technical requirementsMaintain and update a supplier database, including performance, capabilities, and risk profiles in the APAC region. Collaborate with other businesses within the Corporation to leverage supply base to drive synergies for CCR. Support Supplier Quality team in the qualification process of suppliers. Monitor market trends, new product developments relative to CCR’s key commodities and provide regular updatesSupport make-versus-buy analyses and sourcing strategy development.
Responsible for data collection, consolidation, processing and analysis of Quality Metrics and other ad-hoc Reports related to supplier qualityResponsible for follow up and data accuracyDegree in Technical Field or Supply Chain> 5 years experience in Supplier Sourcing or ProcurementExperience with Supplier Qualification processProficient Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI)Local language and advanced English is a requirementSkills Negotiation, Analytic, Communication andOther qualifications that would be beneficial in this roleProject or Program ManagementSAPRefrigeration application knowledge is a plus
