Job Description

The CCUS Wells Specialist is equivalent to Senior Drilling/Completion/Interventions Engineer in terms of experience and expertise. This is a relatively new role with AsPac Wells and BP Global as CCUS is a new field of expertise as the company is growing expertise in CCUS. It is expected that the Role will be accountable for providing the engineering expertise required to support the delivery of CCUS well engineering activities that meet business objectives, adequately address safety and operational risk, follow local laws and conform to bp practices. Current role will be supporting Drilling and Completion / Intervention Engineering Discipline Managers during planning and Wells Superintendent during execution by reviewing engineering tasks and documentation for their approval. This Role will also be working closely with BP ConneXus and Solutions as well as 3rd Party Vendors to plan and design eq-nt package and procedures for CCUS Wells. The scope of work will cover several CCUS Wells phases such as Legacy Wells, Wells Integrity and Life of CCUS field.Key Accountabilities And ResponsibilitiesSafety, Risk Management and ComplianceLead identification of Risks related to CO2 Injection in CCUS wells.Ensure we are aligned with GoI (Government of Indonesia) and Industry Safety standards on CCUS wells.Check the effective discussion of risks, preventions, and mitigations during procedural reviews.Support Management of Change / Deviations by supporting/facilitating Risk Assessments and ensuring emerging risks are properly addressed.Review well and equipment design, permitting, and operations while assuring compliance with local laws and conformance with bp practices.Project Planning and ExecutionReviews efficient and safe way to operate CCUS wells and lead compliance aspect to Regional, bp and Industry Practices.Lead knowledge, IP and knowhow content of CCUS Well designs and service eq-nt: lessons learnt, standard methodologies, case histories, SITs etc. using the relevant tools and databases.Leads and handles SKKMigas, Vendors and Business Partners requests and interactions on behalf of AsPac Wells.Review well specific technical design documents and procedures (i.e. SoR, BoDs, engineering modelling, procedures, etc.).Prepares and handles budget and AFE.Leads design and trailing Specific Engineering Software for CO2 Kick modelling for servicing CCUS Wells.Participates in Joint Industry Project, Conferences and Seminars related to CCUS Wells Construction topics.Leadership, Values & BehavioursRole model V&Bs and ethics and compliance through words, actions, and decisions.Promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and seek to build enduring capability in self and others.Identify and embed agile techniques, tools and efforts related to modernization and transformation.Ability to prioritize work-fronts.Work separate with minimum supervision and as team exhibiting good behaviours.Understand the capability of the team to deliver planning and implement the programme.Provide support, mentor, direction, and establish relationships through active participation and communication with the team.Performs CAM Role to lead service contractors and payment process.Demonstrate BP values and behaviours by personal example that reinforces personal and process safety, continuous risk reduction, and performance improvement.Preferred Education, Experience And CertificationBachelor of Science or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline or higher.10+ years of proven experience in drilling.Well Control Certification Combined Supervisor, IWCF/IADC.Excels in drilling/completion/interventions engineering detailed design and operation executionExperience in either Intervention, Workover, Infill and Drilling Activities as EngineerHas minimum 2 years of well site experience in any Well Services or Construction activities.Experience with Landmark suite software for modelling casing design, directional well plan, hydraulics, torque & drag in order to mentor others.CCUS Wells Specialist is expected to act and drive Multi disciplinary Team involving Drilling, Completions and Interventions, Projects, Subsurface, ConneXus and Solutions.
