About The Journey for Social and Family ConsultancyThe Journey for Social and Family Consultancy supports children and young adults to navigate real-life challenges and build the skills they need to thrive.We focus on:Practical, hands-on therapeutic approachesEvidence-based techniquesClear, collaborative goal-setting with clients and familiesOur mission is simple:Help every child and young person build resilience, confidence, and healthy relationships in a safe, nurturing environment.Role OverviewWe are looking for a CDA-DHA Licensed Child Psychologist / Therapist who is fluent in English and Arabic to join our team in Dubai.You will:Conduct psychological assessmentsDeliver individual therapy for children and young adultsProvide family therapyDesign and implement individualized treatment plansCollaborate closely with parents, schools, and other professionalsKey ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and young adultsDevelop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plansProvide one-to-one therapy sessions using evidence-based approachesFacilitate family therapy sessions and parent guidance sessionsMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and case notesWork closely with multidisciplinary professionals (educators, doctors, therapists) to ensure integrated careParticipate in case discussions, internal meetings, and clinical reviewsEducate and support parents in managing behavioral and emotional challenges at home and schoolEnsure ethical, confidential, and professional practice in line with CDA and professional standardsRequired Qualifications:Master’s or PhD in Psychology Valid CDA-DHA license as a Child Psychologist / Therapist (Dubai)Proven skills in:Psychological assessment and testingTreatment planningMental health care for children and/or adolescents Experience in Family Therapy Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to work on-site in DubaiPreferred Experience and Skills:Experience working with:Children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, social, or developmental challengesParents and families in a therapeutic or coaching contextFamiliarity with:School-related emotional and behavioral issuesTrauma-informed care and resilience buildingStrong understanding of cultural norms and sensitivities in the UAE and wider regionAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamComfortable in a fast-moving, client-centered environmentReferences:At least two recent professional referees are required (preferably clinical supervisors or line managers).Please include: full name, role, organization, relationship to you, and contact details (email and phone).We may request formal written reference letters at a later stage in the hiring process.
