AWS Data Analyst | Freelance | Hybrid | Brussels | August 4th start date We are seeking an experienced Freelance Data Analyst to support a data transformation and pipeline automation project. The analyst will be responsible for processing and analyzing large datasets using Python and orchestrating data workflows using AWS Glue. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of ETL processes in cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark) and AWS Glue Studio. Analyze, clean, and transform raw data from various sources to support business intelligence and analytics.
Write efficient, reusable Python code for data wrangling and transformation tasks. Design and optimize Glue jobs, crawlers, and data catalogs. Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role. Strong programming skills in Python, particularly for data analysis and scripting. Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, including Glue Jobs, Crawlers, and Glue Data Catalog. Proficiency with PySpark and working with semi-structured data (e. g. , JSON, Parquet). Familiarity with S3, Athena, and CloudWatch for monitoring and querying data.
Solid understanding of ETL concepts and best practices. Strong analytical and communication skills.
