The Central Supply Technician assists nursing and administration with all job duties for supply management and procurement by ensuring supplies are ordered and received. The Central Supply Technician also receives and distributes supplies throughout the facility, maintains the Central Supply Department in a clean, organized, and functional conditional, and maintains equipment/contacts maintenance to fix equipment for proper utilization.We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. The Central Supply Technician is a vital part of our cohesive team that maintains inventories and supply processes through researching/selecting supplies to be ordered, preparing/submitting bid proposals for equipment/supplies as needed, receiving orders, handling shipping errors, distributing equipment/supplies to staff or the nursing floor, maintaining inventory levels, identifying equipment to be replaced, and maintaining medical equipment to ensure proper functioning (for administration, nursing, or outsourced vendors), including handling requests for maintenance to fix equipment if needed. The Central Supply Technician also provides non-professional services for residents including cleaning personal equipment, preparing resident rooms for admissions, assisting residents with cleaning drawers/closets, and further, providing support to other departments for special projects/events. As part of our long term care team, the Central Supply Technician maintains good relationships with residents/clients along with their family/friends, works collaboratively with other departments, participates in Quality Improvement/QAPI initiatives, attends all mandatory meetings/in services, and actively participates in survey inspections.High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and One (1) year of related experience and/or training.Long Term Care facility experience preferred.An equivalent combination of work and experience will be considered.
